Half-marathon course guideCity, Harbor, Hills & Coast
Start at Gateway Plaza, complete the downtown out-and-back, then pass the harbor and Xiandong before reaching the Waimushan coast. The return does not retrace every early section: the far coastal turn is not the halfway point.
Based on the 2026 route and provisional aid-station distances. These are approximate planning sections, not surveyed segment boundaries or an elevation profile. Follow the latest organizer notices and on-course directions.
City | Settle into the race (approx. 0–2.7 km)
Gateway Plaza → Zhongyi Road → turnaround at Zhongzheng/Yi 1st Road → the start area
The opening city out-and-back returns toward the start area before the course continues along the western harbor. Allow room for the field to settle rather than weaving through gaps.
Pacing: settle your breathing and stride; do not immediately chase seconds lost at the start.
Harbor | Port roads and Zhongshan Tunnel (approx. 2.7–5.9 km)
Gangxi Street → Zhongshan 2nd/3rd Roads → Zhongshan Tunnel → Xiandong Elementary School turnaround → Xiandong area
The route leaves downtown for the port roads, passes through Zhongshan Tunnel and reaches Xiandong. Watch visibility, footing and nearby runners at tunnel entrances, bends and the school turnaround.
Pacing: find a sustainable rhythm, shorten your stride before the turn and accelerate smoothly afterward.
Hills | The transition toward the outer coast (approx. 5.9–8.6 km)
Xiandong area → Zhonghua Road junction → Wenhua/Wenming Roads → Xiehe Power Plant area
This connects the inner harbor to the outer coast. Manage the changing gradients by effort rather than trying to hold an exact pace. The “hills” theme does not make this a trail race, and the route should not be treated as uniformly flat.
Pacing: allow a slower pace uphill and recover your rhythm smoothly downhill. Follow your practiced fueling routine.
Coast | The coastal turn and return to the harbor (approx. 8.6–21.1 km)
Huhai Road Sections 1/2 → Dawulun Beach → Miaomiao Café turnaround → Xiehe area → Zhongshan 2nd Road/Gangxi Street → Gateway Plaza
Follow the Waimushan coast toward Miaomiao Café, the far turnaround. The provisional aid schedule places this station at about 14 km—not halfway. Return along the coast, then follow the harbor-road connection to the finish rather than reversing every early detour.
Pacing: stay controlled on the coast and respond to the conditions. Build speed late only if your effort still feels sustainable.
- Approx. 8.6–14 km: coastal outbound; save energy for the return.
- Approx. 14 km to the finish: return coast, then harbor roads.

The organizer lists water, sports drink, fruit and snacks, with sponge stations at selected locations as needed. Do not assume every item is provided at every stop.
Stay in the designated race area, follow traffic-control staff, and slow for turns and drinks rather than making abrupt changes of direction.
